What happens to what you send me

Short, because there is little to say: this site has a contact form, a Google map, and it tracks nobody.

Who is responsible

Informatic Applications di Frare Marcelo, Via XXXI Ottobre, 39, 33077 Sacile (PN), Italy. Write to info@informaticapplications.com: Marcelo reads and replies.

What data I collect

The contact form asks for your name, email, topic and message, which are required. Company and phone are there if you want to give them. Nothing else on the site collects data about you: no accounts, no newsletter, no shop.

What I do with it

The message arrives in the company's business software, Odoo, as a contact request. I use it to reply to you and, if things go further, for the work that comes out of it. I do not sell it, I do not pass it on, and I do not use it to send you things you did not ask for.

Why I may handle it

Because you are the one writing to me and asking for something: replying is carrying out a request of yours (art. 6.1.b GDPR). Keeping a record of the conversation and the site's security logs is a legitimate interest of mine (art. 6.1.f).

Where the data lives and who hosts it

The site and the business software run on an OVHcloud server in Strasbourg, France. Every night a backup copy is sent, over a protected connection, to a Contabo server, also in France, where it stays for 15 days. My replies go through Aruba's mail service, in Italy. For security the server records visitors' IP addresses in its access logs, which delete themselves after 14 days. As far as I am concerned, no data leaves the European Union.

The site itself only uses two technical cookies, without which it would not work properly: session_id, which keeps the pages of one visit together and is needed by the contact form, and frontend_lang, which remembers the language. No profiling cookies, no analytics.

Who else sees anything

Google. The contact page and the bottom of the other pages show a Google Maps map: when the map scrolls into view, your browser requests it from Google's servers, which receive your IP address and may set their own cookies; Google may process this data outside the European Union, in the United States, under the terms of its own privacy policy. If you prefer to avoid that, do not scroll down to the map: the address is written next to it, and it can also be opened on OpenStreetMap.

Nobody else. Fonts, images and video previews are served by this site; YouTube only opens if you click a talk to watch it.

How long I keep it

For as long as it takes to reply and to follow the work that comes out of it. If nothing comes out of it, the request is deleted when it is no longer needed, and in any case whenever you ask.

Your rights

You can ask me what data I have about you, have it corrected or deleted, or tell me to stop using it: an email to the address above is enough. If you think I am handling it badly, you can turn to the Italian data protection authority, Garante per la protezione dei dati personali.
